How am I charged for duties and import taxes?

Since WatchBuys is based in and ships from the United States (North Carolina), if you are also located in the US there will be no duties or import taxes that apply to your order.  If we are shipping to a North Carolina address, sales taxes will automatically be added to your order depending upon the applicable rate for the North Carolina county to which we are shipping the watch.  These rates are subject to change at any time - please refer to the web site for the North Carolina Department of Revenue for a list of the most current rates by county (http://www.dornc.com/).

For shipments to US states other than North Carolina, no sales taxes will be collected, although you may be responsible for city, county or state sales or use taxes.

If we are shipping to a country located outside of the United States, duties and taxes will be collected from you once the package arrives in your country.

Please note that you, and not WatchBuys, are responsible for all duties, import taxes, VAT, GST, PST or any other taxes related to the delivery of merchandise to your country.  All international shipments are declared for US and overseas Customs purposes at their full and accurate values.

If you do not know the import duties and taxes that apply to your purchase, please contact the local tax authorities or customs office in your country.  You may also refer to the questions we provide under the category Shipping and Delivery.
